Reckless endangerment

Danielle Rhodes, 33, of Rixford, and John-jay Rhodes, 37, of Rixford, were charged with reckless endangerment after police were dispatched to a two-vehicle motor vehicle crash. While enroute to the incident, it was reported that one of the vehicles had left the scene of the crash. Danielle Rhodes was located at her residence one quarter mile from the scene. The Rhodes’ had been involved in an altercation, and Danielle had been observed driving erratically and purposely drove her car into the oncoming lane of traffic hitting a vehicle driven by John Roads. The crash threw John Rhodes from his seat causing him hit the windshield with his head, cracking the windshield. Charges against John Rhodes, who also fled the scene, are pending for a hit and run crash.

A 25-year-old Bradford woman was charged with planning to take contraband to a prisoner at the McKean County Jail. According to police, troopers saw her sitting in a 2010 Chevrolet Impala at T.J.’s Corner Store, Lafayette Township July 17, and when they stopped to check on her, she was found to be in possession of numerous food items and electronic items to be given to an inmate at the jail. She was arraigned before District Judge Cercone and send to jail in lieu of $10,000 bail.

Burglary

State police are investigating a burglary at a residence along Route 66, Wetmore Township July 21. Someone entered the residence through the front door, and once inside, took prescription medications. Anyone with information is asked to contact state police at Lewis Run.

Theft

State police are investigating a theft from a property in Eldred Township. Someone took an iPad from a package that was delivered to a residence at Barden Brook by UPS July 24. Anyone with information is asked to contact state police at Lewis Run at 814-368-9230.

DUI

A 76-year-old man was arrested for possible DUI following a traffic stop of his 2005 Honda on Route 155, Liberty Township. He was transported to Bradford Regional Medical Center for a legal blood draw. Charges are pending through district court.

A 36-year-old Salamanca, N.Y. woman was arrested for DUI following a traffic stop on Route 59, Keating Township July 28. The woman was driving a 2014 Ford Escort when she was stopped by Kane Patrol for a traffic violation of Title 75 vehicle code. She was transported to Bradford Regional Medical Center for a legal blood draw. Charges are pending through district court.

A 31-year-old Portville, N.Y. man was arrested for DUI following a traffic stop on Route 155, Annin Township July 27. The man was parked along the roadway and charges are pending through district court.

Crashes

Jordan J. Allard, 36, of Friendship, N.Y., escaped injury in a one vehicle crash on Skinner Creek Road, Liberty Township July 22. Allard was traveling south in a 1995 Mack truck when he drove off the roadway and and slid into a ditch, rolling the truck onto its side. A spill of gasoline and oil was contained and prevented from entering the watershed.

There were no injuries reported in a one-vehicle crash on West Eldred Street, Eldred Township July 24. The 2012 General Motors Canyon vehicle was traveling south when it crossed the double yellow line, drifted onto the left shoulder and went off the roadway, hitting a ditch. After traveling about 180 feet in the ditch, it stoped facing south. The vehicle was drivable but was towed at the owner’s request. The driver was arrested for DUI and transported to Bradford Regional Medical Center for a legal blood draw.

William C. Burkhart, 30, of Bradford, escaped injury in a one-vehicle crash on North Fraley Stret, Kane, July 24. Burkhart was traveling west in a 1998 Chevrolet Blazer when the front right tire went flat, causing the vehicle to swerve to the right, and hit a 2006 Ford Explorer that was legally parked along the right side of the road. Burkhart was wearing a seat belt. His vehicle was towed from the scene, and the Explorer sustained minor damage and remained parked at the scene.

Two people were reported injured in a one-vehicle crash on Route 219, Lafayette Township July 25. Lawrence C. McAninch, 52, of Brookville, was traveling south in a 2017 Nissan Armada when the car crossed over the southbound fog line and hit a guide rail, causing the car to become airborne. Two of the six passengers in the vehicle were transported to Bradford Regional Medical Center for treatment of their injuries. Susana Barker, 44, of Port Charlotte and Devin L. McAninch, 23, of Brookville, were injured. one of the two injured was later flown via medical helicopter to Hamlet Medical Center for additional evaluation. The other four occupants including the driver, were not injured, including 47-year-old Nichol Parks, of Portland; 45-year-old Monica McAninch of Brookville and a 17-year-old male passenger of Port Charlotte. All occupants were wearing seat belts.

Police are looking for the driver of a blue 2000’s Ford Taurus with driver’s side damage that fled the scene after crashing into private property in Keating Township at 10:30 a.m. July 22. Someone drove off Route 59 and damaged property at 10945 Route 59, after failing to negotiate a right curve. The car crossed into the westbound lane and went over an embankment and hit various trees and shrubs.
