DUI

State police observed a 2013 Chrysler 200 commit multiple traffic violations while they were on patrol on State Route 46 in Keating Township, Thursday, Oct. 3. After making contact with the driver following a traffic stop, police determined the driver, a 64-year-old man of Kane, was operating the vehicle under the influence of alcohol. Charges are pending blood results.

State police observed a 2011 Jeep Compass parked on the side of the road with its hazard lights flashing while on patrol along Route 155 in Eldred Township, Saturday, Oct. 5. When police stopped to assist the driver, a 26-year-old man from Bradford, they determined that he was operating the vehicle while under the influence of alcohol. Charges are pending blood results.

State police responded to a report of a motor vehicle accident on Fullerton Road in Otto Township, Sunday, Oct. 6. Police determined the driver, a 30-year-old man of Olean, was operating a 2002 Ford F250 Supercab under the influence of alcohol. Charges are pending blood results.

State police conducted a traffic stop on Greeves Street in Kane Boro on Sunday, Oct. 6. Upon investigation police determined the driver, a 44-year-old man of Kane was operating a 2017 Jeep Wrangler under the influence of alcohol. Charges are pending lab results.

Harassment

Blake Kaple, 23, of Eldred, was cited for harassment, physical contact after state police responded to a report of a domestic violence altercation that occurred in on Prentisvale Road in Eldred Township Saturday, Oct. 5.

Criminal Mischief

State police are investigating a reported act of criminal mischief that occurred on West Main Street in Hamilton Township Sunday, Oct. 6. Upon arriving at the scene, it was discovered that the tire of a 1995 Chevrolet Blazer had been cut. Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact State Police at Lewis Run.

Burglary

State police are investigating a burglary that occurred at Cheez’s Garage on Old Red Coleville Road in Keating Township between Tuesday Oct. 1 and Thursday Oct. 3. Stolen property includes: a Snap-On BRA618V 2 stage pump with flywheel, two dart cylinder heads for a small block Chevy, approximately 12 small metric Snap-On wrenches, a Snap-On metric wrench set, 2020 red inspection stickers without month inserts, Jegs chrome starter, Jegs chrome alternator, Power window kit, Jegs small block Chevy intake, and approximately $300 in cash and $300 in change. The door to the garage was also damaged. Anyone with information is asked to contact state police at Lewis Run.

Theft of services

State police are investigating a complaint regarding the theft of natural gas and tampering with a gas meter at a residence in Mount Jewett on Tuesday, Oct. 1.

Crashes

State police responded to a two-vehicle accident on West Main Street in Smethport Boro, Friday, Oct. 4. Upon investigation, it was determined that the driver of a 1998 Subaru Outback entered the roadway from a parked position and collided with a 2019 Ford Explorer. Both vehicles sustained minor damage. Police determined the driver of the Subaru was operating the vehicle under the influence. Charges are pending through Magisterial District Court.
