The Wellsboro Parks and Recreation would like to announce the beginning of the 2011 Adult Coed Softball League. All registrations and entry fees must be accepted by 6 p.m. on April 21. No late entries will be received! Registration fee is $325.

There will be a meeting on April 14, at 6:30 p.m., at the Wellsboro Community Center on Queen St., Wellsboro. This meeting is for any player or team representative or any person who is considering playing in the league this year. The purpose of this meeting is to discuss some changes to the rules for the 2011 softball season.

To kick off the 2011 softball season there will be a tournament on May 14-15, at the Wellsboro Softball Fields. This tournament will be in place of the tournament normally scheduled during the Fourth of July weekend. The entry fee for the tournament will be $150, and is open to all teams, not just Wellsboro’s league teams.

Teams must be registered by 6 p.m. on May 10. No late registrations will be accepted. There will be an open drawing on May 11, at 6:30 p.m., at the Wellsboro Community Center to determine the times teams will play. Entry fees may be paid the day of the tournament; however they must be paid before your team steps onto the field to play their first game.
