A Wellsboro man was sentenced in Bradford County Court in August after a fatal crash on Route 328 in June, 2018 that took the life of 52-year-old Robert Bolt of Millerton.
Ryan Austin, 25, was sentenced to incarceration in the Bradford County Correctional Facility for a term of 11 months, 23 days to 23 months, 29 days, followed by probation supervision for a term of 24 months, fines of $1925, restitution of $813.73, plus court costs.
Austin will also lose his driver’s license for 24 months.
Austin was found guilty of causing and accident involving personal injury, a felony of the third degree, tampering with evidence, a misdemeanor of the second degree, and summary offenses.
At 10:47 p.m. on Monday, June 4, a 2002 Chevrolet pick up truck driven by Austin hit the rear end of a lawnmower being driven by Bolt.
Following the crash, Austin failed to stop and render aid or contact police.
Charges were filed before District Judge Jonathan Wilcox, Troy.
