Blossburg Memorial Library is hosting many kids and adult programs under the theme, “A Universe of Stories,” this summer.

SummerQuest (formerly Summer Reading), will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesdays until July 16. The stars are the inspiration for our program this summer which will include projects, games, books, STEAM activities, as well as special activities like a trip to Mansfield University’s planetarium. We will even discuss stories from other cultures like ancient Egypt.

Momentum Music Services will facilitate “A Voyage of Voices,” for 5-12 year olds on Fridays through July 19 (no program July 5) from 10-10:45 a.m. Kids will explore stories, traditions and songs of cultures around the world through rhythms, music and dance. Please pre-register, space is limited.

The next book club meeting is Tuesday, June 25, at 6 p.m. We will be discussing, “Abigale Hall,” by Lauren Forry. Join us for a discussion of this creepy psychological thriller told in a Victorian Gothic tradition.

Our adult health seminars kick off this summer with, “A Healthier You,” on Thursday, June 20. At 10 a.m. we will start with older adult health and segue to Diabetes Education & Prevention at 11 a.m. A healthy snack will be served between presentations. Attend one or both – these topics are for anybody of any age who wants to learn more. Presented by Kara Gochnauer, BSN, RN, Population Nurse with the PA Department of Health. No pre-registration necessary.
