“How do we teach ourselves to BE the Body?” That is the question we will be considering as we read “The Naked Now: Learning to See as the Mystics See” by Richard Rohr from 9:30-10:15 a.m. this Sunday at the Canoe Camp Church Fellowship Hall. Anyone who wants to join is welcome. No homework; we read and discuss. Books are available at the church for folks who wish to join. One does not need to have been present when the book was started in order to read with us and join in the discussion.
This Sunday, Sept. 15 at 10:30 a.m., Canoe Camp Church pastor Calvin Yoder will preach. His sermon is titled “God...Again?” and is based on Genesis 2. Josiah Hicks-Lee will play piano for the service.
On this Saturday, Sept. 14, Canoe Camp is hosting a fundraiser from 9am – 4pm to help pay for a new roof and other church repairs. Some vendor space is still available. There will be a bake sale, crafts, rummage items, lots of food, basket raffle, and a quilt raffle among other things. Check out the website for more information.
