“What can we ascertain about Simon’s personality from the fact that Jesus gave him the nickname ‘Rock’?” That is the question we will be considering as we read, “Simon Peter: Flawed but Faithful Disciple”, by Adam Hamilton from 9:30-10:15 a.m. this Sunday at the Canoe Camp Church Fellowship Hall. Anyone who wants to join is welcome. No homework; we read and discuss. Books are available at the church for folks who wish to join. One does not need to have been present when the book was started in order to read with us and join in the discussion.
This Sunday, January 19th at 10:30 a.m., Canoe Camp Church pastor Calvin Yoder will preach. His sermon is titled “Heavens Dust or Heaven’s Dust” and is based on 1 Corinthians 15:35-57. Josiah Hicks-Lee will play piano for the service.
