The Green Free Library at 134 Main St., Wellsboro, will reopen slowly in phases, with the first one being the acceptance of checked out materials from the public. The book drop, which has been closed, reopened Wednesday, May 20.
Patrons are asked to return any items not in use between Wednesday, May 20, through Friday, May 22. These items must be quarantined before re-shelving or filling patron requests. All due dates have been extended and fines have been waived for checked out materials.
The staff are preparing for limited services, but have been advised to wait for the Framework for Reopening Public Libraries to be released by the Office of Commonwealth Libraries. This Framework will provide guidelines to help ensure the community’s health and safety.
Remember to check the library’s telephone message at 570-724-4786, website at greenfreelibrary.org or Facebook account for the most up-to-date schedule.
