Dr. Bair shakes hands with President Donald Trump

Dr. Robert Bair (second from right), shakes hands with President Donald Trump at the 75th anniversary of the D-Day invasion at Normandy.

Dr. Robert Bair of Wellsboro, a retired surgeon and a WWII veteran of the D-Day Invasion of Nazi-occupied France on June 6, 1944, was one of a contingent of WWII veterans from around the world who attended the 75th anniversary of the historic turning point of the war.

Bair sat with other veterans behind the podium from which President Donald Trump addressed the crowd.

He was captured on camera by Fox News videographers and his image displayed on television, which was captured by Brion Antoine of Elkland.

Antoine emailed the photos to the Gazette and they appear here.
