Jake Cochran

Jake Cochran is one of eight returning Galeton Tiger players in 2020 and was the leading offensive threat for Galeton last season.

Cochran put up an impressive 20 goals and added three assists in 2019 and will be a key component to Galeton trying to make a return to the district playoffs next season.

Cochran scored multiple goals in five separate games including a season-opening hat trick against Sayre where he scored three goals as they walloped the Redskins by a score of 5-1.

As one of the biggest pieces to the success Galeton had last season, look for Cochran to step up his game in 2020 with a strong roster of returning players.

Joseph Brumbach

The second leading scorer for the Galeton Tigers soccer team, Brumbach was the second part of an offensive duo that scorched teams last season.

Brumbach scored 13 goals and added two assists on the season. Brumbach scored multiple goals on five occasions and was a constant threat to get to the net anytime he touched the ball.

In his top game of the season Brumbach scored three goals in an offensive flury by the Tigers that led to a 7-3 win over Northern Potter last season.

Look for Brumbach to come out strong in 2020 for a Galeton team that has the potential to be a serious threat next season.

Ty Stover

Though most of the scoring fell to Brumbach and Cochran in 2019, Ty Stover was able to contribute in a multitude of ways for his team last season.

Stover was the third-leading goal scorer on his team, and racked up 10 goals on the year, but his ability to find openings in the defense is why he is a pivotal piece to Galeton’s winning formula.

Stover had a team-high 10 assists on the year and used his blazing speed to get around defenders and find the open man.

Look for Stover to be one of the most integral parts of the three-headed monster returning for Galeton as they look to showcase their offensive prowess in 2020.

Alli Macensky

Macensky led her team in kills (173) and blocks (61) while also chipping in eight digs and two aces on the season.

At over six feet, Macensky matches her size with athletic ability and instincts at the net that should bode well for the next three years of her high school career.

Alexis Johnson

Johnson was second on her team in kills with 125, second in aces with 41, second in blocks with 45 and also had 38 digs on the season for an extremely balanced stat-line.

Johnson enters her senior season as one of the top area volleyball players and should be set for a stellar 2020 with only four seniors graduating and eight player slated to return.

Makenna Shuemaker

Makenna Shuemaker was another player for the Galeton Lady Tigers who put up a very strong all-around season in 2019.

Schumaker made an impact on almost every aspect of the game and was among the leaders on her team in a few different statistical categories.

Schumaker posted 20 kills, 38 aces and an extremely impressive 200 digs on the season for Galeton and entering her senior season should continue to improve for her team.

Look for Shuemaker to be a big part of the Galeton volleyball team in 2020 and with the chemistry built with a tough young team last season, make a big splash and a strong playoff push.
