North Penn-Liberty

The North Penn-Liberty Mounties volleyball team’s magical season came to a close this past week, but regardless of the outcome, the Mounties put together an impressive run capped off by a second place state finish.

Liberty has proven to be one of the most well-rounded teams in the area, and looked the part as they cruised to a 11-3 set record throughout the state playoffs, and dropped only four sets through the span of the entire season.

From top to bottom of the Liberty roster they recieved contributions from almost every part of the team and the group of players Grace Tice, Maddison Minyo, JoAnne MacNamara, Charisma Grega, Patelin Nowak, Alli Koval, Julia Nawri, Elizabeth Welch, Hannah Bowens and Elizabeth Kahl all played significant minutes this season for The Mounties.

Even in defeat, the Liberty volleyball team showed grace and maturity. They exemplified great sportsmanship throughout and were still able to capture a second place state finish, which is impressive on it’s own.

With a strong culture of winning over the past four seasons, the Mounties were able to make the jump to the next level this year behind the guidance of coach Jennifer Nawri which is why the North Penn Liberty volleyball team is this week’s Athletes of the Week.
