Alli Macensky led the Galeton Tigers as just a freshman first year player, and on the defensive-end of the floor was one of the biggest difference-makers on the roster. Macensky was one of the best rebounders on her team, pulling in an outstanding 7.7 board per game.
She was also able to record at least five rebounds in all but six games this season and had her career high of 14 boards on two separate occasions.
Macensky played beyond her age this past season, and used her over six foot height and good length to be able to contest almost any shot in the paint.
Macensky had five double doubles throughout the year, and also came just one block short of a triple double on one occasion and has recorded a block in every game and multiple blocks in all but two games with her career high of nine coming in her near triple double performance.
“On the defensive end, she can challenge every shot with her size. She blocked 84 shots this year and had 170 rebounds. Her next three years she will be really fun,” Coach Andy Macensky said.
Macensky averaged an absurd 3.8 blocks per game and was a constant threat to any opposing drivers throughout the season. As her offensive game continues to grow, Macensky will have an outstanding career for the Galeton Lady Tigers over her next three seasons.
