The Liberty Garden Club will tour the flower garden of Mary Janeski Wise, on Monday, June 17. We will meet at Baiba Kreger’s house at 6:30 p.m. In July we will tour Barbara Buchanan’s garden.

The Liberty Valley Lutheran Parish held a beautiful Pentecost service at Friedens Church last Sunday. Three youths took part in the service and were confirmed: Amy Feaster, Kyle Monogue, Darby Stetter. Refreshments were served after the service.

“Officer’s Club” an evening of music and dessert will be held Friday night, (Flag Day,) June 14, from 7-9 p.m. at the New Linck Schoolhouse in Nauvoo. A variety of patriotic music will be performed by local talent, while you enjoy those wonderful desserts!

Summer Movies in the Park at Liberty Ball Park Friday, June 14, at 9 p.m. Free admission, free popcorn and water. Bring a lawn chair. All are welcome! Friday’s movie is “Because of Winn Dixie.” Sponsored by LiVE and Harvest Family Fellowship Church.

Community Bible School is this week from Monday-Thursday evenings from 6:30-8:30 at Liberty Lutheran Church. Ages 4 and up.

Blockhouse Festival is coming up on Saturday, June 29, at the Liberty Ballpark. Lots of games, chicken barbecue, funnel cakes, concession stand, vendors, music, parade, 50/50 drawing and fireworks. On Sunday, June 30, church service at NP-LHS auditorium, ham dinner at Liberty Community Building. Dinners are $8, children $5. Contact JoAnn Kreger 570-324-6293 to put a unit in the parade. The theme this year is “Pedal Power: Pedal, Peddle, Petal.”

Upper Susquehanna Synod Assembly is Friday and Saturday (June 14 & 15) at Susquehanna University.

Quilting group continues every Friday starting at 9 a.m. at Liberty Lutheran Church.

Bible study is every Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at Liberty Lutheran Church with Pastor Rick Adams.
