The following people either have appeared or will appear before District Judge James Carlson to face various charges. Assault

Kenneth L. DeShields, 33, of Mt. Laurel, N.J., faces charges of terroristic threats, simple assault and harassment following a domestic incident at 150 North Main St., Mansfield, May 31. He allegedly held an eight- inch chef’s knife to the victim’s throat and threatened to cut her throat and also to cut her unborn baby from her body. He also poked at her stomach area and temple with the knife, but not hard enough to pierce her skin. DeShields was jailed in lieu of $7,500 bail and his preliminary hearing set for June 12.

DUI

Jeremy Lee Spencer, 35, of 102 Seymour Drive, Columbia Crossroads, faces charges of DUI after he crashed his his 2002 Chevrolet Silverado pick-up truck on Benson Avenue, Roseville, April 27. Spencer’s BAC was .221 percent and he was driving on a suspended license. He was issued a summons to appear at a July 31 preliminary hearing.
