The following people either have appeared or will appear before District Judge James Carlson to face various charges.
David Terry Koch, 32, of 76 South Academy St., Mansfield, also known as Christopher Matthew Trentmore, was charged with DUI (depressants and cannabis), providing false identification and date of birth to law enforcement; possession of a small amount of marijuana, careless driving and driving without a license, following a traffic stop by Mansfield University police on Oct. 17 at South Academy Street. Police stopped his 2016 Jeep, after he pulled out in front of the officer and hit a curb. Police said it was also discovered that he has an active warrant out of New York State. He was jailed in lieu of $15,000 bail and his preliminary hearing set for Oct 30.
Timothy P. Dempsey, 60, of 3829 Lambs Creek Road, Mansfield, was charged with DUI by state police following a traffic stop of a 2009 Ford F-150 pick-up truck on North Williamson Road, Covington Township Sept. 27. His preliminary blood alcohol content was found to be .165%. He was issued a summons to appear at a Nov. 27 preliminary hearing.
Elliott Richard Colegrove, 40, of 163 Clinton St., was charged with DUI by state police following a traffic stop on Morris Run Road, Hamilton Township Sept. 27. His preliminary blood alcohol content was found to be .186. He was issued a summons to appear at a Nov. 30 preliminary hearing.
Alan Michael Starks, 26, of 15324 Route 6, Mansfield, was charged with two counts of aggravated assault, one count of aggravated assault by vehicle, two counts of simple assault and harassment by causing injury to the female victim with his 2007 Dodge Ram pick-up truck on Oct. 17 at 15324 Route 6, Richmond Township. Police said he hit her with the sideview mirror, knocking her over, and then ran over her foot with the front driver’s side after the two argued because they were breaking up. He was charged and jailed in lieu of $7,500 bail and his preliminary hearing set for Oct. 30.
Sierra Spirit Bowers, 19, of 201 Erway Road, Mansfield, faces charges of use and possession of marijuana and paraphernalia, possession of two open containers. and five closed containers of an alcoholic beverage, underage drinking, no inspection sticker and broken rear view mirror and turn signal on her vehicle, following a traffic stop on Sullivan Street, Mansfield Sept. 14. Police said they smelled burning marijuana in the car, and found two marijuana pipes and three improvised smoking devices in the car, as well as 8.5 mgs. of psilocybin mushrooms in a mason jar. There were also four juveniles in the car with her. Passenger Casey Amaral who is on probation, also was arrested and jailed. Bowers waived her preliminary hearing set for Oct. 23 and was released on $1,500 unsecured bail.
Her county court arraignment was set for Nov. 18.
