Nathan Randall Phillips, 29, of Covington, was charged with trespassing, theft and disorderly conduct, following a reported burglary on Rods Lane in Covington, June 23. When police arrived at the scene they made contact with Phillips and the accuser. Phillips told police he was bored and thought nobody lived in the residence. Phillips said after that after speaking with the accuser he returned all the items he took, valued at $620. The accuser said an Xbox 360 was missing valued at $100. A preliminary hearing was scheduled for July 1.
Garrett Benjamin Fairbanks, 21, of Wellsboro, was charged with possession of a controlled substance, three counts of driving under the influence, failure to drive on roadways laned for traffic, failure to drive at a safe speed and careless driving following a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of Arnot Road and Landrus Road in Bloss Township. Based on reported inconsistencies in Fairbanks account of the accident police conducted a standard field sobriety test. During the test Fairbanks demonstrated numerous clues of impairment and was then placed under arrest. While searching Fairbanks police found drug paraphernalia on his person. Fairbanks was transported to Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hospital for a blood draw. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for July 15.
