Mahalia Anis Strickland and Tyler Damir Nobles both of Philadelphia were charged with retail theft following a report from Walmart asset protection Dec. 4, 2019. Asset protection reported that 33 items totaling $313.29 had not been scanned. When police arrived on the scene they were provided the training receipt and made contact with Strickland and Nobles. A preliminary hearing scheduled for Jan. 29 was waived, a formal arraignment is scheduled for Feb. 24.
Emmet Alfred Watson, 24, of Canton was charged with two counts of DUI, driving on roadways laned for traffic and careless driving following a traffic stop on Hemlock Hill Road in Sullivan Township Dec. 21, 2019. When police made contact with Watson, the odor of alcohol was observed. Watson agreed to perform a standard field sobriety test, which showed signs of impairment. A PBT revealed the presence of alcohol. Watson was placed under arrest. At the station two breath samples were collected with results of .217% and .202%. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Feb. 19.
Jeffrey William Winder, 49, of Mansfield was charged with two counts of DUI, registration and certificate of title required and careless driving following a traffic stop on Main Street in Blossburg Borough Dec. 20, 2019. When police made contact with Winder, the odor of alcohol was observed. A PBT was submitted and revealed the presence of alcohol. Winder was placed under arrest. Two breath samples were taken at the station with results of .126% and .125%. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Feb. 19.
Amber Dawn Winter, 21, of Mansfield was charged with aggravated cruelty to animals and two counts of neglect of animal following the report and investigation of a neglected dog tethered outside, in Mansfield on Nov. 20, 2019. According to a Humane Society Police Officer, the canine appeared emaciated and scared and no sustenance or water were seen. After conducting interview with Winter concerning the dog and a veterinarian visit, Winter signed a relinquishment document surrendering ownership of the canine. The canine was transported to Grand Canyon Veterinary Hospital for assessment, where it tested positive for Lymes. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Feb. 12.
Gina Marie Robinson, 18, of Glenholden, was charged with simple assault, disorderly conduct, harassment, purchase, consumption, possession or transportation of liquor or malt or brewed beverages, public drunkenness following a reported complaint regarding an assault Sept. 28, 2019. Upon investigation police made contact with Robinson who appeared under the influence of alcohol. A preliminary breath test showed a breath alcohol concentration at approximately .108%. A preliminary hearing was scheduled for Feb. 12.
Jonathon Scott Baker, 34, of Canton was charged with retail theft following a reported theft at Aces and Eights on Main Street in Mansfield. According to a witness report and video footage from the store, Baker took a flashlight from a display near the cash registers and proceeded to walk through the store before leaving without paying for the flashlight. The flashlight is valued at $45.57. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Feb. 12.
