Mansfield University and the Mansfield Chamber of Commerce have announced that Homecoming 2020 is set for the weekend of September 18-19.
The Mountaineer football team will host the University of Pennsylvania at 6 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 19 to conclude festivities on the weekend.
The Mountaineers are coming off their most regular-season wins in program-history (5-2, 3-1 PSAC) and were a victory in their final game of the season against Division I foe Army from earning a berth in the CSFL Championship game.
Head coach John Evans enters his fourth year as the leader of the program and has already left an imprint on the record books. Evans (9-5 overall) became the all-time wins leader in 2019, while guiding a program-record seven Mountaineers to First-Team All-CSFL honors.
The remainder of the schedule will be released at a later date.
The annual Homecoming celebration is an opportunity for alumni, family and friends of Mansfield University, the campus community, and local residents to come together for a variety of events on campus and in town.
The weekend will feature popular events including the PRISM concerts, Alumni-Athletic Hall of Fame, community parade, Butsko Breakfast, downtown street fair, beer garden, tailgating, football, and more. A full schedule of events will be released at a later date.
More information on Homecoming 2020 will be provided at alumni.mansfield.edu when available.
