The New Covenant Academy boys basketball team played their final scheduled game against Hebron on Thursday, Feb. 20. The Lions defeated Hebron 61-24 and advanced their record to 15-10. John Griffin led scorers with 29 points.
Griffin also reached the 400-point plateau for the season. Senior Nate DiCamillo added 8 points and 10 rebounds against Hebron.
Nate averaged 12 points per game over the final 5 games of the season.
Point guard Landis Strohecker added 12 points. Peter Scolari played the role of play maker, helping John reach 400.
Peter recorded 11 assists on the night. One of the most exciting baskets of the night was Kaiden Moises hitting a 3-point buzzer beater at the end of the 3rd quarter.
Kaiden has missed several games with an injury and returned to hit his 2nd half court shot of the year.
Hank St. Amour added 10 points for Hebron going 4 for 8 from the foul line.
