Second Chance Animal Sanctuaries’ “Howling Halloween” is Saturday, Oct. 19, 1-4 p.m. at Francis L. Murphy Memorial Park, Broad Street, Tioga.
The event will feature trunk-or-treat, games, prizes, crafts, pumpkin painting, baked goods, hot dogs and refreshments. Adoptable animals will also make appearances in their best Halloween costumes.
Admission to the games with prizes and crafts is $5 for kids and $8 for adults.
Kids and pets are invited to participate in a costume contest, with judging starting at 2 p.m. The contest is $1 to enter for a chance to win prizes such as gift baskets and gift cards to area businesses.

Donations, trunk-or-treat registration
Second Chance is seeking donations of baked goods and small pumpkins for kids to paint, as well as trunk-or-treat participants for the event.
Trunk-or-treat is $10 per vehicle to hand out candy to trick or treaters. Decorated vehicles will be entered to win prizes such as gift baskets and gift cards to area businesses.
