Roseville Borough Council held their re-organizational meeting on Jan 6 at the Community Center. Re-elected officials include: Mayor Jeffrey Kennedy and council members Donna Baker, Joseph Pratt and Joseph Wilson. They join Harry Morgan, Dale McKay, Ivan Mathewson and Tom Jenney to complete council. Donna Baker was named president, Harry Morgan vice president and Joe Pratt to the pro temp position. Renee Pratt was appointed to fill the vacant auditor position. The borough plans to continue their efforts to provide interesting events.

A Christmas dinner gathering for the Hicks family was held at the home of Ken and Daisy Hicks. Present were: their daughter, Karen and TJ Layton from Alaska, Ken’s brothers, Al Kakretz, Jim Miller and their wives and grandson, Jared and wife Corina from Wisconsin. Jared and Corina were the big surprise of the day!!

Several from the area attended the visitation and Celebration of Life service for Rev. Rob Ransom in Holidaysburg. Rob passed away on Dec 10 after a long battle with Alzheimer’s. His wife, Marie is the daughter of Alene York. Prayers are requested for the family.
