Sand truck overturns on 660

State police at Mansfield investigated a single-vehicle crash on Route 660, Richmond Township, Friday, Aug. 9 at about 7 p.m. According to police, Ronald E. Penner, 51, of Mansfield, was traveling east when he failed to negotiate a left hand curve in the road near the intersection with Mudge Road and lost control, turning over onto the passenger side. The crash caused the sand box to spill out onto the roadway, closing the road for about three hours, police said. Penner was transported to Soldiers + Sailors Memorial Hospital for possible injury. He was cited by police for speeding.
