Ol’ Man Winter is gearing up for lots of snow and you should too! The Wellsboro Department of Parks & Recreation in conjunction with CS Sports will host the “Largest Ski and Snowboard Swap in the Northern Tier.” Now in our 23rd year, outdoor enthusiasts from throughout the Northern tier of Pennsylvania and southern tier of New York have heard of the “Gigantic Ski Swap” and flock in droves to get the best deals on new and used ski and boarding equipment.
Literally, hundreds of ski’s, snowboards, boots, and bindings will go on sale between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 16 at the Wellsboro Old High School (Administration building), 227 Nichols St. in Wellsboro. Entrance will be through the old music room entrance on the rear of the building.
High performance, intermediate and beginner packages will be available as well as the largest selection of used junior equipment. Here’s your chance to save big bucks and smile all the way to the slopes.
If you’ve never sold your equipment at a swap, here’s how it works. Bring your used skis, boots, snowboards etc. to 227 Nichols St. on Friday evening, Nov. 15th between the hours of 4— 8 p.m. Swap staff will assist you in pricing your equipment for sale. You will be given a receipt for your used equipment and your goods are up for sale. While you’re there, look around as you’ll want to return on Saturday morning to purchase the “Greatest Deals” in the northern tier. A 10% commission on all sold goods will be donated to the Wellsboro Ski club. Note that no swap equipment will be accepted during the sale on Saturday. Proceeds from the ski swap benefit the Wellsboro Ski Club.
