North Penn-Liberty came to Williamson Tuesday night looking to return to the District IV championship game. Williamson was not at full health, with Emylee Yusko sitting out.
As such, North Penn-Liberty would take the victory in three sets 25-9, 25-10, 25-7 advancing to the finals where they will meet Wellsboro once for the third time this season Thursday night.
Coach Holli Smith said, “There are no true leaders on this team. These ladies all lead in their own way.”
As coach Smith said, the scoring for the win Tuesday night shows each player contributed in their own unique way.
Charisma Grega had five aces, 10 kills, eight receptions and five digs for the Lady Mounties. Brooke Harvey had an ace, 11 kills, four receptions and eight digs in the win.
Savannah Doney added four aces, eight receptions and 13 digs.
Maddison Minyo brought home four kills, three blocks and two digs. Mariah Kshir had two aces, four kills, 15 assists and four digs for the Lady Mounties. JoAnne McNamara had three aces, 17 assists and one dig. Ellianna Fry added three kills, two blocks and two receptions.
Mariah Pino had an ace, two receptions and a dig in the win.
The championship game will be Thursday night at 7:30 p.m. following the Class A championship between Canton and Cowanesque Valley at 6 p.m.
