Nicholas A. Pulli, 51, of Troy and a 16-year-old male passenger avoided injury in a one-vehicle accident on Route 6 in Sullivan Township Nov. 6. Wilson was operating a 2014 Lincoln Continental MKX, with one passenger in the vehicle, when it struck a deer that entered the roadway.

John C. Lockett, 35, of Westfield was uninjured in a Nov. 7 crash in Lawrence Township. Police said Lockett was travelling west on State Route 49 at 5:45 p.m. when he lost control of a 2009 Pontiac G6, drove off the road and struck a utility pole. He was charged with failing to drive on roadways laned for traffic.

Michael E. Cendoma, 58, of Morris is believed to have suffered an injury in a one-vehicle accident on Nov. 8 in Morris Township. Police said Cendoma was traveling south on State Route 287 at 8:15 a.m. when he lost control due to ice on the roadway. The 2008 Chevrolet Silverado overturned and Cendoma was transported to Williamsport Hospital for treatment.

Four people escaped injury in a two-vehicle accident on Nov. 9 in Mansfield borough. State police said a 15-year-old male from Allentown was fleeing from police and exited U.S. Route 15 north onto Route 6. A second vehicle driven by Tyler L. Skelly, 26, of Tioga attempted to induce a stop of the vehicle. The youth braked a 2018 Volkswagen Jetta and the police vehicle, a 2017 Ford Explorer, passed it and stopped. The teen’s vehicle struck the Ford in the driver’s side rear door. The teen was traveling with a 16-year-old female from Emmaus and an 18-year-old female from Macungie.

A 2005 Ford 150XLT was traveling west on Route 6 in Richmond Township when it hit an icy patch, spun around and left the road. A vehicle traveling behind the Ford was able to pull it from the ditch. No charges or injuries were reported.

Jarden C. Nichols, 31, of Wellsboro escaped injury in a one-vehicle accident Nov. 8. Police said Nichols was traveling south on Shumway Hill Road in Charleston Township when his 2004 Jeep Wrangler began to spin on untreated, snow-covered roads on a curve. The vehicle slid off the road, struck an embankment and rolled over, back onto its wheels and crossed the road before coming to a stop.

Javed Riaz, 68, of Morganville, N.J. avoided injury in a one-vehicle accident on U.S. 15 in Tioga Township. Riaz was operating a 2005 Lexus LX470 when he struck a deer that had entered the roadway. Riaz was able to pull the vehicle to the shoulder of the roadway.


Police are investigating the theft of a firearm from a pick-up truck sometime between 12:30 and 5:30 p.m. Nov. 8. Police said an unknown person removed a JA380 army green Jimenez Arms containing a loaded magazine from a 2005 Ford in Elkland borough. The rifle is valued at $150.

Unattended death

Police are investigating an unattended death on Nov. 2 in Middlebury Township. They said the friend of a 75-year-old man found him dead in the home, possibly from a cardiac arrest. The man was pronounced dead by deputy coroner James Daugherty.


A 61-year-old man and 46-year-old woman, both of Covington, were charged with harassment by physical contact after they shoved one another during an argument at 11:30 p.m. Nov. 8 in Covington Township.

Drug possession

Jesse Wilson, 32, of Tioga was arrested for drug possession in Lawrence Township, Nov. 5. Police discovered Wilson overdosed in the bathroom of his residence. He was found to be in possession of heroin and paraphernalia. Charges are pending.
