Police responded to a residence in Charlseston Township after a reported verbal domestic dispute June 16. Upon arrival at the scene police discovered the individual in question had left the scene. Police observed several threatening text messages received by the accuser from Ronald Hastings, 49, of Wellsboro. Charges were filed through district court as well as a warrant for Hastings arrest. Anyone with information on Hastings is encouraged to contact state police.
Police are investigating a reported burglary that occurred in Lawrence Township between May 18 and June 18. A door casing and exterior door were damaged during the reported burglary. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact state police.
Hit and Run
Police are investigating a reported hit and run that occurred on Route 549 in Roseville Boro June 23. The accident occurred as an individual operating a 1996 Chevrolet Lumina turned left onto Route 549 at a high rate of speed and lost control of the vehicle. The vehicle traveled across the roadway, struck a fence, then continued to travel further and then struck a porch. The operator failed to stop and give information for the crash. The individual was later located at his residence and cooperated with police during the investigation.
Kelvin Davis, 59, of Elkland, suffered possible injuries in a one-vehicle crash on Holden Brook Road in Osceola Township June 20. Davis was traveling South in a 2006 Dodge Ram 2500 when he left the road and traveled into a field before striking a tree and coming to a final rest. Davis was taken to the hospital for a suspected injury.
Donald R. Curry, 67, of Forksville, avoided injury in a one-vehicle accident on Ogdensburg Road in Hamilton Township June 24. Curry was operating a 2020 Chevrolet Spark when two deer ran onto the roadway. Curry swerved to miss the deer and traveled onto the west berm of the roadway and into the drainage ditch along the road.
T.R. Hughes, 72, of Covington, and a 17-year-old of Middlebury Center, both avoided injury in a two-vehicle accident on Arnot Road in Charleston Township June 24. Hughes was operating a 2017 Toyota Tacoma and attempting to cross Arnot Road when he collided with a tractor.
Isaac M. Huntington, 18, of Westfield, suffered suspected injuries in a one-vehicle accident on Reynolds Road in Shippen Township June 19. Huntington was operating a 2001 Jeep Wrangler when he lost control traveling off the north side of the roadway and struck a tree head on.
Autumn M. Diehl, 18, of Sabinsville, suffered injuries in a one-vehicle accident on Route 349 in Clymer Township June 27. Diehl was operating a 2006 Chevrolet Impala when she went of the roadway and struck a fence before traveling down an embankment.
Elizabeth R. Anderson, 21, of Newville suffered suspected minor injuries in a one-vehicle accident on U.S. 15 in Covington Township June 27. Anderson was operating a 2008 Ford Focus during a rain storm when she traveled across the roadway and into the median cables on the side of the road.
Debra K. Werner, 53, of Westfield, suffered suspected minor injuries in a one-vehicle accident on Route 249 in Clymer Township June 29. Werner was operating a 2012 Mazda CX9 when she lost control while negotiating a left hand curve and impacted the guard rail on the side of the roadway. Werner was transported to Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hospital. Clymer Township Fire and ambulance and Whites Towing assisted at the scene.
A black backpack was located along side Asaph Run Road in Shippen township June 28. The backpack contained a sweatshirt and a Volkswagen vehicle key. Anyone with information regarding this matter is encouraged to contact police.
Erik M. Bikowski, 42, of Vienna, Va. avoided injury in a one-vehicle accident on U.S. 15 in Lawrence Township June 28. Binkowski was operating a 2017 Lexus RX350 when a deer entered the roadway and was struck by Binkowski. Coopers Towing assisted at the scene.
Police are investigating a criminal mischief incident that occurred on in Richmond Township between June 29 and 30. An individual broke the right window of a Bobcat E 45 excavator which was parked unattended at the intersection of Westgate Road and Canoe Camp Road.
Police are investigating a trespass that occurred on Route 549 in Rutland township between March 1 and June 29. An individual kicked in the door of a residence owned by the victim.
