Luis D. Mendoza, 50, of Buffalo, N.Y., escaped injury in a one-vehicle crash Saturday, May 25 in Chatham Township. Mendoza was traveling south on Route 249 in a 2015 International Truck and Engine 4000 Series when a deer entered the roadway. Mendoza was unable to avoid the crash which caused the truck to become disabled. Burkholders towing towed the truck.
Megan L. Bush, 23, of Wellsboro, escaped injury in a one-vehicle crash on Route 15, Liberty Township. Bush was traveling north in a 2019 Jeep Cherokee when she hit a deer that had run out into the roadway. The car then came to rest on the east berm.
Bryan Talada, 27, of Troy, Bradford County, and Debra Brown, 52, of Jackson Township, was charged were charged with harassment with physical contact following a domestic incident on Church Street in Jackson Township May 26. Both were cited through Elkland District Court.
A 60-year-old Blossburg woman was the victim of harassment on South Main Street, Richmond Township April 26. State police are continuing to investigate the incident during which the subject made threatening statements to the victim.
A 56-year-old Westfield woman was the victim of theft after two unknown male individuals stole her 1999 Polaris ATV from her front yard and drove it from the scene May 24. The investigation is continuing.
Police are investigating a case of criminal mischief on Reservoir Hill Road, Westfield Township, in which a privately owned mailbox and a Verizon Wireless utility post were damaged June 1. The mailbox was valued at $50 and the post at $100. Anyone with information is asked to contact state police at 570-662-2151.
A 32-year-old Covington male was arrested for a protection from abuse order violation when he allegedly struck, grabbed, and pushed the victim, a 75-year-old Covington male, on East Hill Road, Covington Township, June 2.
Elkland borough was the victim of burglary when someone kicked in a door, causing damage to the door and frame valued at $150, on Pattison Avenue, Elkland, June 1.
