A 56-year-old Westfield woman was the victim of theft when someone made unauthorized transactions on her debit account at Wal-Mart, Domino’s Pizza, Sunoco, Miami Velvet and Carfax, totaling $389.49 between May 15 and May 21.

A 51-year-old Wellsboro man was the victim of theft when someone stole a garden dump cart from a yard next to his garage. The unknown person emptied the cart and pushed it to Route 362, Delmar Township and then fled in an unknown direction. The cart was valued at $120.

Police are investigating the theft of a blue 1982 Harley-Davidson motorcycle belonging to a 61-year-old Roaring Branch man from 2924 Ogdensburg Road, Union Township, June 5.

Police are investigating the theft of a Pennsylvania state registration plate from a truck parked at 3673 Route 6, Gaines Township, May 21. The plate, valued at $50, was number AG01735. Anyone with information is asked to contact state police at 570-662-2151.


Tyler L. Wetzel, 19, of Liberty, driving a 1998 Toyota Corolla and Marcus Hull, 45, of Towanda, driving a 2013 Chevrolet Silverado, escaped injury in a two-vehicle crash on Main Street, Richmond Township June 4. Both drivers were wearing seat belts.

Jessica L. Tice, 37, of Blossburg, was injured in a one-vehicle crash on Route 15, Tioga Township, June 4. Tice was traveling north in the left lane in a 2006 Pontiac G6 when a bear entered the roadway and Tice swerved to miss it. She lost control of the vehicle, it exited the highway, overturned and hit a tree. Tice was able to free herself from the car before EMS arrived. She was transported to Corning Hospital, Corning, N.Y., for treatment of her injuries. She was wearing a seat belt.

Two people were injured in a one-vehicle crash on River Road, Ward Township, May 18. Dakota J. McCrary, 20 of Blossburg, was traveling east in a 1996 GMC Jimmy when the vehicle began to fishtail and he lost control. The vehicle then traveled off the south side of River Road, hit a tree and turned over onto the driver’s side of the vehicle. Both McCrary and his passenger, Mariah L. Carey, 18, of Blossburg, were transported to Soldiers + Sailors Memorial Hospital for treatment of their injuries. Both were wearing their seat belts. McCrary was cited for speeding.

Five people were injured in a two-vehicle crash on Route 6, Charleston Township, Thursday, June 6. Constance B. Root, 51, of Wellsboro, was traveling east in a 2018 Subaru Outback behind a 2004 Buick operated by Jayann Cavanaugh-Teeter, 38, of Wellsboro when the Buick stopped to wait for traffic before turning left onto the Dartt Settlement Road. Root was unable to stop in time before hitting Cavanaugh-Teeter’s car in a rear-end collision. Both Root and Cavanaugh-Teeter were transported to Soldiers + Sailors Memorial Hospital, Wellsboro, along with three minor passengers in the Subaru. One minor in the Buick was not injured. All were wearing seat belts or proper child restraints.

Trisha L. Roslund, 20, of Tioga escaped injury in a one-vehicle crash Monday, June 10, on Hills Creek Road, Charleston Township. Roslund was traveling south in a 2012 Ford Taurus when she hit a deer that entered the left side of the roadway. Roslund was wearing a seat belt.

Scott E. Reese, 22 of Mansfield, suffered a minor injury in a two vehicle crash on Route 6, Richmond Township, Monday, June 10. Reese was traveling west in a 2000 Dodge Neon and Amy S. Breon, 50, of Lock Haven, was stopped waiting to make a left turn onto Westgate Road in a 2011 Cadillac SRX when Reese’s car hit the rear of the Breon vehicle. Both drivers refused medical treatment at the scene. Both were wearing seat belts. Reese was cited for following too closely.


Corey Hurlbert, 27, of Lawrenceville, was charged with harassment following a domestic incident with a 36-year-old woman in Lawrence Township May 18. Police said Hurlbert caused unwanted physical contact and damage to real property by breaking kitchen dishes valued at $50. Charges were filed in Elkland District Court.

Tristin Ahearn, 20, of Knoxville, was arrested for suspected harassment against a 23-year-old Knoxville woman May 25. Police said Ahearn was causing an annoyance with no legitimate reason to the victim.


Police are investigating a domestic incident that resulted in an alleged assault against a 48-year-old Wellsboro woman on Route 6, Delmar Township, May 5. There also was a report of a burglary on May 5 and a simple assault on May 6.

Criminal mischief

Police are investigating a case of criminal mischief against a 37-year-old Tioga woman in Jackson Township June 7. Police said someone damaged an ATV at the Button Hill Road property.
