Criminal mischief

State police are investing a report of criminal mischief in on Ashley Hill Road in Sullivan Township Jan. 11. The actor(s) reportedly shot a BB at the siding and windows. Anyone with information is asked to contact state police.

State police responded to a reported criminal mischief at the Whitneyville United Methodist Church in Charleston Township, Jan. 5. The incident occurred between Jan. 5 and Jan. 12 as an unknown individual damaged the exterior of the church by shooting it multiple times with a BB gun. Anyone with information is asked to contact state police.


A one-vehicle accident occurred on Route 362 in Delmar Township Jan. 14, when a deer entered the roadway and the operator of a 2017 Chevrolet Silverado was unable to avoid striking the deer. There was minor damage to the front of the vehicle and the operator reported no injury.

Amanda R. Everdean, 21, of Liberty suffered a suspected minor injury in a one-vehicle accident on Brooklyn Road in Richmond Township Jan. 8. Everdean was operating a 2017 Honda CRV when she lost control of the vehicle while negotiating a left turn. The vehicle left the roadway and struck a utility pole. Everdean was transported to Soldiers and Sailors Hospital to be treated for her injuries. Mansfield Fire Department and EMS assisted on scene. Everdean was cited for driving too fast for conditions.
