Burglary

Police are investigating a burglary on Reynolds Road, Chatham Township between June 13 and July 4. Someone used force to break the front door of a cabin owned by a 29-year-old Halifax man, and removed a case of beer, valued at $25, from the cabin. That person then fled the scene in an unknown direction.

Damage to the nine light door was valued at $300. Anyone with information is asked to contact state police at Lewis Run.

A burglary on Valley Road, Richmond Township that occurred July 10 or 11 is under investigation by police. Someone used an unsecured window at the back of a garage to enter and remove two full five gallon gas cans valued at $35. That person then fled the scene in an unknown direction by unknown means. Anyone with information is asked to contact state police at Mansfield.

Crashes

The 17-year-old male driver of a 2010 Toyota Sienna suffered a suspected minor injury in a one-vehicle crash on Marsh Creek Road, Shippen Township Sept. 30. He was traveling west in a 2010 Toyota Sienna when he traveled off the side of the road and back on before exiting the roadway again and hitting trees on the north side of the roadway.

He was transported via Wellsboro ambulance to SSMH with suspected minor injuries. He was wearing a seat bet and was cited for no inspection.

There were no injuries in a two vehicle crash on Collum Road, Lawrence Township Aug. 21. A 2012 Bluebird International bus was traveling west and a 2016 Ford box truck was traveling east when the bus failed to move over enough to safely pass the box truck, which was on the berm.

The bus had minor damage to the driver side mirror and the box truck had minor damage to the driver side mirror and his side front window was broken. Both units were driven from the scene. No charges were filed.

Theft by deception

Police are investigating a theft by deception in which a known individual agreed to do a construction job for a 63-year-old Wellsboro man, was paid for part of the work May 22, and then failed to complete the job or return phone calls or mail sent by the victim.

Theft

Police are investigating a theft at A.J.’s Power Equipment, 1699 South Main St., Mansfield, between May 24 and July 10. A.J.’s reported that the unnamed person wrote a bad check for $17,000 for a CanAm Commander XT 1000 off road vehicle.

A 31-year-old Mansfield man is the victim of theft on Sept. 5, when an unknown person entered his Sullivan Township residence and stole a Savage Arsm Stevens Model 95 Single Shot 20 gauge shotgun valued at $150. Anyone with information is asked to contact state police at Mansfield.
