Forgery

State police are investigating a report of possible forgery at Skyline Drive, Charleston Township May 4. Police said someone forged the victim’s signature on two personal checks.

Crashes

Police are investigating a hit and run crash that occurred at 417 Gray Valley Road, Sullivan Township May 19. Police said someone driving an unknown model blue Subaru sedan was traveling east on Gray Valley Road when it traveled off the road and hit a utility pole, then fled in an unknown direction. Anyone with information is asked to contact state police at 570-662-2151.

Joseph T. Tanaiewski, 24, of Wellsboro, suffered a suspected minor injury in a one-vehicle crash on Bailey Creek Road, Rutland Township May 21. Tanaiweski was driving a 2011 Lincoln Continental when he failed to notice a parked rural postal carrier vehicle and hit the 2007 Honda CRV, causing disabling damage to both vehicles. Richard D. Burt, 60, the postal carrier also suffered suspected minor injury and was transported to UPMC Wellsboro by Mansfield Firemen’s Ambulance. Both drivers were wearing their seat belts. Tanaiewski was cited for careless driving. Both vehicles were towed from the scene.

Theft

Police are investigating a report of fraud at a residence on Cherry Flats Road, Covington. A 75-year-old female reported that someone had tricked her into sending money via a credit card on May 20.

Harassment

Two people were arrested for harassment following a reported domestic incident on Main Street, Millerton, Jackson Township May 11. Police said a 42-year-old male and a 39-year-old female got into a verbal argument after the male pushed a 13-year-old male off a chair and started to yell at him. The female then began to kick the adult male in the head to make him stop. Charges of harassment have been filed in district court.
