The following person either has appeared or will appear before District Judge Rob Repard to face various charges.

Jeffrey M. Snyder, 61, of 402, Annas Road, Wellsboro, faces charges of simple assault, criminal mischief and harassment after state police were dispatched to the residence in Morris Township, Aug. 19, for a report of a domestic incident. According to the police affidavit filed at Repard’s office, the female victim said he got angry with her when she went to his residence to bring him his dinner

He asked her to leave and when she refused, the argument turned physical and he tried to grab her, but she fell to the ground, police said.

He swung at her as she fell and hit her in the head with a closed fist behind the ear. He then dragged her to the door and kicked her in the shoulder as she tried to kick him, police said.

He allegedly threw her phone out and he again told her to leave, but helped her to find her smashed cell phone. She drove to the Duncan Tavern and called 911 for an ambulance.

Snyder waived his Sept. 3 preliminary hearing and was released on $5,000 bail. His county court arraignment was set for Sept. 30.
