Kalob L. Knickerbocker, 26, of Wellsboro, was charged with possession of marijuana and driving while vehicle registration suspended following a traffic stop on East Avenue in Wellsboro Feb. 26. When police made contact with Knickerbocker the odor of marijuana was recognized coming from the vehicle. When asked about the smell Knickerbocker produced a small plastic bag containing marijuana and a larger bag containing 21.8 grams of marijuana. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for March 24.

Raymond Harvey Sprouse Jr., 43, of Wellsboro, was charged with public drunkenness, aggravated assault and disorderly conduct following a reported suicidal male on Central Avenue in Wellsboro Feb. 27. When police arrived at the scene they made contact with Sprouse who reportedly smelled of alcohol. Police were informed by family members that Sprouse had a lot to drink that night. Based on the evidence from family and Sprouse himself, Sprouse was transported to the emergency room. Once there, he became combative and punched an officer after which he was transported to Tioga County Prison for assault, disorderly conduct and public drunkenness. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for March 24.

Nicole B. Dangelo, 40, of Rochester N.Y., was charged with driving under the influence and failure to drive at a safe speed following a traffic stop on Tioga Street in Wellsboro Jan. 29. Upon making contact with Dangelo police noticed the odor of alcohol and administered a field sobriety test which yielded indicators of impairment. Dangelo reportedly refused to submit a preliminary breath test and was taken into custody for DUI. At the station Dangelo agreed to submit a chemical breath test which revealed a blood alcohol content of .157%. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for March 24.

Joshua James Dincher, 27, of Williamsport, was charged with two counts of DUI, operation of vehicle not authorized for streets and highways and careless driving following a reported private property crash on Mountain Top Road in Liberty Township, Feb. 10. Witnesses at the scene told police that Dincher had gotten on an ATV and drove South on Mountain Top Road before crashing and rolling the vehicle. Police were unable to talk to Dincher at the hospital but a medical records obtained as a result of a search warrant revealed Dincher’s BAC was .216%.

Kathryn Keyser, 44, of Wellsboro, was charged with simple assault and harassment following a reported domestic situation on Lambs Creek Road in Charleston Township Jan. 31. Keyser and the accuser reportedly became involved in a verbal altercation. During the altercation Keyser reportedly became more upset and began damaging items in the house. Keyser reportedly ripped the accuser’s shirt and scratched the individuals face during the altercation. Keyser was taken into custody and transported to PSP Mansfield. A preliminary hearing scheduled for Feb. 26 was rescheduled for May 26.
