The following people either have appeared or will appear before District Judge Rob Repard to face various charges.
Clint M. Walker, Jr., 20, of 12393 Route 6, Wellsboro, faces charges of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver and possession of drug paraphernalia. According to state police, about 20 marijuana plants were found at the residence, Aug. 2, along with a digital scale, smoking device, baggies, grow lights, humidity monitor and Ph tester, all for growing and storing marijuana. Following a search of the residence on a “graffiti” warrant, the items were found in a back bedroom of the residence.
Bulk packaged marijuana also was discovered in the upstairs refrigerator. Walker allegedly admitted to purchasing the marijuana in Williamsport for $2,400 per pound and then reselling it in Tioga County. A safe in the grow room contained a loaded Glock 9mm handgun with a 24 round ammunition magazine and about $130. He waived his Aug. 27 preliminary hearing and his county court arraignment was set for Sept. 16.
His bail was set at $70,000 and then lowered to $25,000 which he posted.
Suzanne L. Merrick, 52, of 1393 Dutch Hill Road, Wellsboro, faces charges of driving under the influence of intoxicants following a traffic stop by borough police on Charles Street Aug. 7. She waived her Aug. 13 preliminary hearing and was released on $2,500 bail. Her county court arraignment set for Sept. 9.
