Busy day at church on Sunday June 9, Pentecost Sunday. The message was on Unity. Service was followed by a coffee hour hosted by Bill and Jan Shumway and Martha Rusk.
Sunday at 5 p.m., church and community members enjoyed a soup, sandwich and sing. We eat for an hour and sing for an hour and go home happy.
The Widow’s Mite group will have lunch at Perkins on Thursday, June 13, and the Sister-in-Faith group will meet that evening at Janet Watters at 7 p.m.
We are happy to report that Butch Toby is doing better and goes back to Hershey for his eye check up on June 20. Keep praying that the transplant will be fully connected by then.
Tonya Wilkinson will be going back to Rochester for her check up soon.
Two of the Hemker grandchildren, Zeb and Iliana, are spending a few days with Grandpa Allan and Grandma Pastor Sandi Hemker this week
Ed and Marta Hills of Denver, CO, spent a day visiting Rich and Roxie Wilkinson. on their way to Maine. They are Rich’s son Mike’s in laws.
Our sympathy is extended to Kelly Faffe and children. Her husband Tony was recently killed in a motorcycle accident. He will be greatly missed by family and friends.
Kyle Rusk spent a couple of days with his parents, Ted and Martha Rusk. While here he attended the graduation of Martha’s niece Kelsey Janeski.
Lenore Wimbrough is leaving on her annual 6 weeks trip to visit her children in Pennsylvania, Virginia and Texas. Don’t have to tell her to have a good time. They all spoil “Grandma Lenore.”
Happy birthday to Bridget Knowlton June 15, Bill Duncan – June 20 and my sister Jeannette Comstock – June 21. Jeannette is 7 years younger than me. I will whisper your age in your ear Jeannette, I have picked a good age to be this year.
