Nelson Township supervisors agreed not to support the annual trick or treating during the Oct. 12 meeting. The board agreed not to sanction the annual event due to concerns with the pandemic. No time or date was set.
Supervisors will review available internet connections due to the need for consistent service. The board also agreed to purchase caller identification for the community’s phone service.
Supervisors learned the Department Of Environmental Resources approved on-lot sewage disposal permits for Thomas and Melinda Fryer and Wade Tubbs.
One land use permit for the construction of a single family residence was issued.
Supervisors approved the 2020 Real Estate Tax Refund for $58.13 for one taxpayer.
Tthe supervisors scheduled a workshop to work on the 2021 budget at 6 p.m. Oct. 27.
Supervisors learned that the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation will pave two sections of State Route 49 in the near future. The areas to be paved are from Bailey Hill Road to Croft Hill Road and Taft Avenue in Elkland to the east end of Barney Hill Road.
Supervisors will meet at 6 p.m. Nov. 9.
