Firehouse Subs raises over $1,300 for Goodyear Hose
Firehouse Subs out of Ithaca, N.Y. was recently in Galeton for five days to supply good eats and raise money for the local fire department. Firehouse Subs coordinates with fire departments to park its food truck in various communities, with proceeds going to that fire company. During their time in Galeton, Firehouse Subs raised $1,328 for Goodyear Hose Company. As of this date, Goodyear is the first fire company in Potter County to host Firehouse Subs.

Miss Flaming Foliage 2019, Patelin Nowak (at right) crowned Miss Flaming Foliage 2021, Alison Davey Oct. 9 in Renovo. It is only the third time in the 72 year history of festival that the same school's candidates have been chosen to wear the crown back to back.
The Wellsboro Lions presented $4,000 to the Wellsboro Parks and Recreation Department for refinishing the underside ceiling of the lower pavilion at Woodland Park. Present for the presentation were (from left) Lions President Tom Walrath Jr, Treasurer James Carleton, Parks and Rec Executive Director Pete Herres and Lions newest member Barbara Gile.
The Tioga County Bass Anglers hosted the Don Heck Memorial Classic on Hammond Lake on Oct. 2. Pictured left to right: Dave Heck, first place with 19.7 pounds; Brett Flynn, second place with 18.9 pounds, Seth Anderson, third place with 17.7 pounds and John Orchowski, fourth place with 16.1 pounds. Orchowski also had a lunker at 6.8 pounds.
