Family and friends cheered on the athletes at the Little League Day festivities at the Mark Whalen Memorial field in Elkland Saturday, June 8. The weather was perfect for baseball and softball games. With seven games played from tee-ball to majors fans were treated to a full day of exciting play.

There was plenty of eyeblack for the little leaguers at Saturday’s celebration at the Mark Whalen Little League field in Elkland.
At the Elkland Little League Day, major and minor league baseball and softball players lined the field as part of the day long celebrations.
It may have been the start of summer vacation, but there was still time for lessons to be learned at Little League Day. Here coach Tony Daley talks with the infielders on the First Choice Security minor league team.
