Scattering rubbish

Multiple discarded cardboard boxes were found on 330 Dingman Run Road in Eulalia Township on Aug. 22. The investigation is ongoing and there are potential suspects.


Hillary B. Levinson, 22, of Coudersport, was driving a 2012 Chevrolet Equinox with one passenger when traveling on East Second Street near the Laurelwood Inn in Eulalia Township at the time of the crash on Aug. 29. Levinson was negotiating a left-hand turn and did not see the second vehicle coming, leading to the collision. In the second vehicle, a 2015 Hyundai Sonata, Ronald P. Haskings, 75, of Coudersport, had two other passengers during the crash. Multiple injuries were reported, but the severity of the injuries are unknown.

Matthew Palmer, 51, of Columbus, Ohio, and one passenger had suspected minor injury from a crash on Pine Hill Road in Stewardson Township on Aug. 25. Palmer was driving a 2005 Honda VTX 1800 R1 while negotiating a left-hand curve when he struck gravel causing the car to slide into a ditch on the side of the roadway.

A four-vehicle crash was reported from 230 Costello Avenue in Austin Borough on Aug.14. The first vehicle traveled off the west side of the roadway striking the other three vehicles. This caused damage to a nearby garage. It was determined that the driver was under the influence of an alcoholic beverage and fell asleep while operating the vehicle.

Drug possession

Drug paraphernalia was handed to state police at Austinburg Road in Brookfield Township on Aug. 26 for an ongoing investigation. More investigation and interviews are needed for an inactive domestic incident.

An individual was found in possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia on State Route 49 West in Harrison Township on Aug. 25.


A report of a verbal domestic incident was made from East Seventh Street in Coudersport Borough on Aug. 27. Investigation discovered the argument stemmed from the two parties breaking off their romantic relationship, leading to shoving and grabbing.

A patrol check was needed for a report of harassment on Mill Street in Coudersport Borough on Aug. 13. The victim was able to identify two of the three actors who were at her residence as Sandra Hurd, 31, of Coudersport and Kathie Myers, 33, of Coudersport. The two were charged and the case remains open for pending court dispositions.


A report of theft from a motor vehicle was made from Pansey Drive in Cummings Township on Aug. 24. Items including an Apple iPhone 11 Max, Apple Macbook Air, a black LL Bean backpack, a black NIKE backpack and a three-stone diamond ring with a white gold band were stolen from a motor vehicle while it was parked at the old railroad trussel bridge. The investigation is ongoing.


Shawn Schaar, 31, of Knoxville, allegedly broke the locked front door of the victim’s house and entered in a manic manner at Willowbrook Avenue in Hector Township on Aug. 26. He was asked to leave several times. No injuries were reported. Schaar was arrested and charged. He was arraigned and released on the same day with a $20,000 unsecured bail.

An incident occurred on Hickox Road in Genessee Township on Aug. 14. It was reported that individuals were trespassing onto private property to access a local fishing stream. No charges were filed.

A trespass onto a property on Main Street in Roulette Township on Aug. 18 was made without permission.

Investigation is ongoing regarding a report of trespass on Weidner Lane in Eulalia Township on Aug. 25.

Criminal mischief

A report came from Hawks Road in Bingham Township on Aug. 5 regarding criminal mischief. It was determined an unknown suspect trespassed into a work site and caused extensive damage to equipment that included skid steers and a mini escavator.

An investigation is ongoing for a soybean field regarding a report of trespass made on 116 Gross Road in Abbott Township on Aug. 24.


A report of an active domestic violence occurred on Dodge Road in Sharon Township on Aug. 26. Throughout an investigation, it was found that Janet Healy, 57, of Shinglehouse, struck the victim in the head with her cell phone leaving injury. Healy was arrested and charged.

Protection from abuse violation

An investigation was initiated after a report of violation occurred on Kings Run Road in Ceres Township on Aug. 15. It was determined that Gerald Fiske, 35, of Little Genesee, N.Y., violated an active protection from abuse order. Fiske was arrested and charged.
