A 65-year-old man of Galeton was arrested for suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled substance following a traffic stop of a 2015 Chevrolet on East Main Street, Galeton on Oct. 25. He also was allegedly in possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia.
Police are investigating a potential assault that occurred Sept. 5 in Austin. After they were dispatched to a report of a disabled vehicle on Route 872, Shinnemahoning Township, Cameron County, it was discovered that the car’s operator and passenger had been victims of an assault and were being recorded without their consent. One of the victims reported she sustained an injury to her shoulder and ribs during the alleged assault. The incident is under investigation by state police at Coudersport.
David McIntire, 70, of Harrison Valley, was arrested for an assault with bodily injury of a 59-year-old female, also of Harrison Valley, that occurred during a domestic incident on East Main Street, Harrison Valley Nov. 10.
Police are investigating a report of harassment of a 34-year-old man at 345 Main St., Genesee on Nov. 7. The complainant said someone had rang his door bell and ran around 4:45 a.m. A suspect was identified and the investigation is ongoing.
Tarressa Miller, 18, of Coudersport, was arrested and charged for harassment following a domestic dispute with a 38-year-old female and a 14-year-old male, both of Coudersport, in Sweden Township Nov. 6.
Theft of motor vehicle
A 73-year-old Galeton man was the victim of theft of a Ford F-150 pick-up truck on Route 6, Pike Township between Sept. 1 and Sept. 11. The vehicle’s location is known and the investigation remains open, police said.
A 17-year-old male of Roulette who was backing a 2003 Chevrolet Silverado pick-up truck out of a driveway onto Second Street, Roulette escaped injury in a two-vehicle crash with a 2017 Volkswagen Jetta operated by Leslie H. Skinner, 62, of Roulette, who was traveling south. Skinner suffered a possible injury in the crash but was not transported. The Jetta was towed from the scene. Both were wearing seat belts.
Fleeing and eluding
Two juveniles have charges pending against them for fleeing and eluding police after they fled on dirt bikes through Ulysses and Ulysses Township Nov. 10. The juveniles failed to stop on Lehman Hollow Road, Ulysses Township, but state police were able to identify them.
