Crashes

Steven S. Wilt, 46, of Bradford, escaped injury in a one-vehicle crash on Route 46, Keating Township Nov. 22. Wilt was traveling north in a 2004 Chevrolet Silverado pick-up truck when it left the right side of the roadway and drove into a ditch, continuing until it struck a cement culvert causing moderate damage to the front right tire. Wilt then continued northbound and hit a mailbox. Wilt continue to flee the scene and finally stopped the truck on Route 46 near Columbia Hill Road, where he left it and fled the scene. He was cited with careless driving.

Jessica L. Johnson, 37, of Kane, suffered a suspected minor injury in a one-vehicle crash on Kane Lantz Corners Road, Wetmore Township Nov. 25. Johnson was traveling west on Route 6 in a 2014 Ford Explorer when a deer entered the west bound lane of travel and Johnson was unable to stop before hitting the deer. The vehicle sustained disabling damage and was towed from the scene. Johnson was wearing her seatbelt and was transported to UPMC Kane via ambulance.

Police are looking for the driver of a vehicle hauling a piece of heavy machinery that damaged a railroad bridge on Route 59, Keating Township Nov. 27. Police said the driver failed to follow height restrictions when he traveled under the overhead bridge, and hit it, causing structural damage to the bridge, and then fled the scene.

Burglary

Police are investigating whoever took multiple guns from a locked gun safe in a residence at Champlin Hill Road, Annin Township Nov. 25. The unknown person cut the lock and entered the residence through the main door and then removed the guns. Anyone with information is asked to contact state police at Lewis Run at 814-368-9230.

No Interlock Device

James Quirk, 72, of Olean, N.Y., was arrested and charges will be filed in district court for operating a motor vehicle without an ignition interlock device as required following a traffic stop of a 2012 Ford on Barnum Road, Eldred Township Nov. 27.

Theft

Police are looking for whoever committed a theft from a building at Route 6, Keating Township Nov. 23.

A trail camera was reported stolen from a Plunkett Road, Annin Township location Oct. 27. Anyone with information on who took the Stealth Fusion Trail Camera valued at $150 is asked to contact state police at Lewis Run, 814-368-9230.

DUI

A 52-year-old Bradford man was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence of intoxicants following a traffic stop of a 1997 Ford F-150 XLT pickup truck on Route 219, Hamlin Township Nov. 25. Charges are pending lab results for a blood alcohol test.

Jeffrey Wood, 25, of Kane, was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence of intoxicants following a traffic stop of a 2005 Dodge Ram 1500 pick-up truck on South Avenue, Bradford Nov. 25. Charges will be filed in district court.

Amy Simes, 41, of Bradford, was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence of intoxicants following a traffic stop of a 2003 Dodge on Mechanic Street, Bradford Nov. 26. Charges will be filed in district court.

Juan Arreaga, 48, of Cheektowaga, N.Y., was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence of intoxicants following a traffic stop of a 2020 Chevrolet Malibu on Route 219, Lafayette Township, Nov. 26. It was determined he was driving under the influence following a legal blood draw at Bradford Regional Medical Center and he was arraigned and remanded to McKean County Jail.

A 19-year-old male from Bradford was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence of intoxicants following a traffic stop of a 2004 Ford F-150XLT pick-up truck on West Washington Street, Bradford Nov. 29. He also was in possession of drug paraphernalia and charges will be filed pending blood test results.

Criminal trespass

Mervin Martin, 73, of Turtlepoint, was arrested after police were dispatched to Annin Creek Road, Annin Township Nov. 25 for a report of trespassing. Charges will be filed in district court.

Drug possession

Jacob Oberdalhoff, 27, of Jacobus, was arrested following a traffic stop of a 2000 Jeep on Route 646, Keating Township Nov. 27. Police said Oberdalhoff was in possession of a marijuana pipe and 56.3 grams of marijuana. He also was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence of a controlled substance. He was transported to Bradford Regional Medical Center for a blood draw and charges are pending blood test results.

Corruption of minors

Police are investigating a report of corruption of minors involving a male minor that allegedly occurred Oct. 25 in Mount Jewett. The investigation is ongoing.

Criminal mischief

Police are investigating a report of criminal mischief that occurred at a Bennett Street residence in Eldred between Nov. 18 and Nov. 21.
