A Native American Pow-Wow and gathering will be held on Sept. 5-6 at the Austin Dam Memorial Park located off Route 872 North of Austin.

The gathering has been put together to honor and remember the 78 people who lost their lives during the 1911 flood and those who survived.

There will be Native American drumming, dancing, food, arts, crafts, birds of prey and wood carvers. Gates open at 10 a.m. with grand entry set for noon.

Those attending are to bring their own lawn chairs. Admission will be $5 for ages 10-59, $3.50 ages 60 and over and $2 for handicapped.

Public camping is also available at 5 nights for $25.

This event is organized by Wolf Pack Pow-wow Association with proceeds to benefit Austin Dam Memorial Park.
