Cameron County hosted the Sinnemahone Gravel Race on Saturday, Sept. 25. More than 60 competitors started and finished their choice of a 14, 26 or 55 mile course.
The first place male finisher in the 14 mile course was Joseph Woodford from Ridgway. He finished with a time of 51:07. The first place female in the race was Valerie Van Breuge from Emporium. She finished in 1:03:30.
The first place male finisher in the 26 mile course was Christopher Witmer from Jersey Shore. Witmer finished in 1:48:37. The first place female was Sarah Batson from Coudersport with a time of 2:30:30.
Taking home first place honors in the 55 mile race was Curtis Smith from DuBois, riding the course in 3:10:47. The top female finisher was Angela Horst from Lancaster. Horst finished the race in 3:43:55. Horst also placed first in her Sinnemahone Paddle event.
