A political organization akin to Nazism is again congregating in Potter County, but according to organizers, the party never actually left.

“The National Socialist Movement has been around for a very long time, and its the most active, largest group in American that stands up for the civil liberties of whites, for European Americans,” explained meeting organizer and NSM member Steve Bowers, of Philadelphia.

Flyers advertising the meeting at a “beautiful location near Coudersport off Route 49 in ‘God’s Country’” started circulating on social media. Bowers said the group only discloses the locations of such meetings to NSM members, but confirmed that this Saturday’s meeting will take place on property in Ulysses.

“Dan [Burnside] is the State Director of the National Socialist Movement for Pennsylvania,” said Bowers. Burnside is a longtime resident of Ulysses.
