State police are investigating an alleged sexual assault/statuory rape in McKean County July 29.


Police are investigating the possible rape of a 20-year-old female in Lafayette Township July 31.


One driver suffered suspected minor injuries in a two-vehicle crash on Route 219, Lafayette Township July 29. Kaylee A. Kloss, 34, of Bradford, and Marc A. Reed, 62, of Ridgway, were both at the intersection with Route 59, when Kloss, driving a 2017 Chevrolet Equinox, ran the stop sign and hit Reed’s 2012 Kia Sorento. The Equinox traveled into the parking lot of Tacks Inn Restaurant and came to rest on the north bound shoulder of Route 219. Both were wearing a seat belt. Reed was not injured but Kloss was transported to Bradford Regional Medical Center by Bradford City Fire Department ambulance.

Both vehicles were driveable following a two-vehicle crash involving a parked car on JFK Drive, Lewis Run Aug. 1. The accident occurred when a 2010 Dodge Challenger was backing out of a driveway and hit a 2014 Jeep Cherokee that was parked across the street.

No injuries were reported after a parked 1991 Ford F-150XLT rolled into another parked car at a Sheetz store parking lot at 3014 Route 219, Hamlin Township, McKean County July 30. Police said the accident occurred when the driver of the truck failed to engage the emergency brake before leaving the vehicle and it rolled into a 2017 Jeep Cherokee. Both vehicles sustained minor damage and were driveable.

There were several suspected minor injuries in a two-vehicle crash on Route 446, Eldred Township, Aug. 2. Police said Stanley L. Whitney, 79, of Bradford, was making a left hand turn in a 2007 Toyota Rav4 onto Route 446 to travel south when he failed to see a 2020 Subaru Outback operated by Jennifer W. Mack, 62, of Smethport, who was traveling north. The two vehicles collided, with the Rav4 continuing through the intersection and coming to rest in the southbound lane of travel and the Subaru in the northbound lane of travel. Both vehicles had to be towed from the scene. All occupants of both vehicles were wearing seat belts and were transported to area hospitals for treatment of their injuries by local ambulance companies.


A 33-year-old Smethport man was arrested for harassment with physical contact following a domestic incident on Canfield Hollow Road, Eldred Township July 29. Police determined that the actor had fled in an unknown direction following an argument between family members which involved a 65-year-old male victim.


A 19-year-old male of Bradford was arrested for driving under the influence of intoxicants following a traffic stop on a 2009 Highlander on Route 219, Bradford Township Aug. 1. Police said the vehicle was stopped for multiple traffic violations.

A 58-year-old Bradford man was arrested for driving under the influence of intoxicants following a traffic stop of a 2015 Chevrolet for a traffic violation on East Main Street, Bradford City Aug. 1. Charges are pending blood test results.

Corruption of minors

Police are investigating a report of corruption of minors that occurred over the social media app Snapchat on Feb. 15 in Liberty Township.

Drug possession

A 34-year-old Buffalo, N.Y. man was arrested for possession of drugs and paraphernalia following a traffic stop of a 2020 Jeep for a traffic violation on Route 219, Foster Township July 20. Charges were filed in district court.

Criminal mischief

Police are investigating a report of criminal mischief at 27 Evans Drive, Liberty Township July 31.


Police are investigating a theft at a residence at CCC Road and Kinzua Road, Lafayette Township June 30 that was captured on a trail camera. Police said actors were observed removing property from the scene. When identity is determined, charges will be filed in district court.
