The Galeton Tigers soccer team came out with a big win at Coudersport Tuesday night, with two late goals after trailing.
In the first half, the Falcons got one goal each from Jacob Hooftallen and Christian Furman. Hooftallen scored at the six-minute mark, while Furman scored at the 27-minute mark.
With a 2-0 lead, the Tigers roared back and closed the gap to 2-1 with a goal from Ty Stover with 12 minutes to play in the half.
Jake Cochran then scored just before the half at the 20-second mark to send the Falcons and Tigers to the locker room tied at two apiece.
In the second half, Caleb Burdick appeared to have the Falcons in good position to hang on for the win, scoring with 12 minutes left.
Zach Pagano and Ty Stover had other plans. With just 5:30 left to play, Pagano found the back of the net to tie the contest at three. Just 29 seconds later, Ty Stover found the back of the net for his second goal of the game for a 4-3 lead. The Tigers hung on for the last 5:01 of the game to take home the road win.
The Falcons fell to 3-3, and all three losses have come by one point, two of them being in overtime. Coudersport will have a chance to avenge one of those close losses this Thursday at 6:30 when they host Kane.
The Tigers improve to 3-2 and face a tough road test at St. Marys on Thursday. In the first meeting, the Tigers beat the Dutchmen, 5-2 at home.
