Senate candy dish inventory distributed to Guard
The U.S. Senate’s candy desk, located in the back row of the Republican side adjacent to the Chamber’s most heavily used entrance, has been stocked since 2015 by Senator Toomey. One perk of running the candy desk is that Pennsylvania’s numerous candy makers send product regularly to be featured. However, to express legislator’s gratitude, Senator Toomey’s office used its back stock of candy to put together care packages for the members of the National Guard now working in Washington, D.C., including those members from Pennsylvania.
