WESTFIELD — Another match, another win for the CV Lady Indians tennis team on Tuesday, Sept. 15, as they swept the Wellsboro Lady Hornets team for the second time this season.

After topping Liberty on Thursday, Sept. 10 by a score of 3-2 to move to 3-0 on the season and the top spot of the NTL standings.

Against Liberty, the CV girls were pushed to their most competitive match of the season, dropping their first matches of the year, but were able to come out on top and nab a 3-2 victory as well keep their perfect record on the season intact.

Against Wellsboro, the Lady Indians continued to flex their muscles, and put together another dominant performance where they swept Wellsboro 5-0 to continue their torrent through the 2020 tennis season.

Megan Wattles continued her impressive senior season, winning straight sets against Wellsboro’s Ana Perry by scores of 6-2 in back-to-back sets.

Kara Watterson and Shae Schoonover also were able to come away with wins in straight sets to keep the Lady Indians season-record without a blemish heading into the end of the second week of play.

The Indians will look to keep their win-streak alive on Thursday, Sept. 17 as they travel to Towanda for a matchup of the two top teams so far in the NTL..
