Police are looking for whoever took several items from a storage locker at 4643 Route 6, Shippen Township, between Sept. 15 and Nov. 22. Taken from the locker were a laminate padlock, Air Force ABU uniform, cargo net, duffle bag and clothing, total value of approximately $250.
Miranda L. Boyden, 22, of Middlebury Center, escaped injury in a one-vehicle crash on Catlin Hollow Road, Charleston Township Nov. 22. Boyden was traveling south in a 2008 Honda Pilot when the car slid off the slush-covered roadway and hit an embankment. The car then spun 180 degrees and the rear left corner hit the embankment. She was wearing a seat belt.
A deer in the roadway was the cause of a crash on Route 49, Westfield Township Nov. 10. The un-named driver was traveling east in a 2018 Nissan Rogue when the operator was unable to avoid hitting the deer. There were no injuries and the vehicle was towed from the scene.
There were no injuries in a one-vehicle crash involving a deer in the roadway on Route 49, Deerfield Township Nov. 9. The un-named driver was traveling west in a 2020 Ford Escape when the deer entered the roadway and the operator attempted to stop, but was unable to avoid hitting the deer. The vehicle was driveable.
Eric L. Hochstedler, 28, of Wellsboro, suffered a suspected minor injury in a one-vehicle crash on Route 287, Middlebury Township Nov. 18. Hochstedler was traveling east in a 2003 Western Star tractor trailer when it traveled off the roadway and rolled over. Hochstedler was transported to Robert Packer Hospital, Sayre by Wellsboro ambulance and the vehicle was towed from the scene.
Dennis Garris, 38, of Wellsboro, was charged with driving under the influence of intoxicants after he crashed his 2004 Jeep on Route 6, Richmond Township Nov. 17. He also had a small amount of marijuana in his possession, police said. He was transported to SSMH for a blood test.
A 25-year-old Addison, N.Y. woman was the victim of criminal mischief when someone poured an unknown substance into the gas fill tube of her 1995 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck overnight between Nov. 21 and Nov. 22, while it was parked at 5922 Route 349, Westfield Township, causing it to not run properly.
Jason McGee, 38, of Mansfield, was arrested following a report of assault at Kerr Road, Delmar Township Oct. 5. Police determined through an investigation that McGee had struck the 38-year-old male victim of Wellsboro in the face with a closed fist. McGee was cited with harassment in district court.
Brenda Brown, 54, of Osceola, was arrested following an incident at State Road, Farmington Township Nov. 28. Police said that Brown shoved the 50-year-old female victim of Tioga with two hands in the upper body, causing her to fall during an argument. Brown was cited with harassment in district court.
A 25-year-old Elkland man was arrested and charged with simple assault in district court following a domestic dispute at Cummings Creek Road, Nelson Township Oct. 6. Police determined that the arrestee caused injury to one of the two victims, who were a 47-year-old female from Elkland and a 27-year-old female from Lawrenceville.
