Austin Area Kindergarten graduates held their annual graduation ceremony on Tuesday, June 1 in the school gymnasium. Graudates include Gracelynn Cheplic Aiden Crocker, Joshua Earle, Grayson English, Axeton Fiebig, Gaige Fontenot, Lucas Ford, Levi Les, Brynlee Ogden, Phoenix Quick, Deakin Stafford and Sophia Wilcox.

Two Southern Tioga School District teachers were awarded Golden Apple Awards by the public relations committee at the school board’s June 7 work session in Blossburg. The committee of their peers selected Clarissa Cummings, autistic support teacher at Warren L. Miller Elementary School, and Jamie Sparks, 11th and 12th grade learning support teacher at North Penn-Liberty High School. They were selected based on their establish an environment of empathy and community in the classroom and earn the respect and admiration of students, parents and colleagues, said Randi Coskie, member of the committee.
